Nova for Impact Training
Program Overview
The EmpowerHER Workshop Series is a 1-week online training designed to equip young women with the skills and confidence to thrive in today’s digital economy. Organized by Nova Impact and the SheRise Technology Empowerment Program, the training blends practical learning with mentorship to help participants become social media pros while building entrepreneurial capacity.
Through interactive sessions and guided exercises, participants will learn basic digital skills, understand how to start and grow a business, and explore leadership, entrepreneurship, and the business ideation process. The program goes beyond theory, ensuring that every participant works on real assignments, hands-on tasks, and a final campaign project to demonstrate their skills.
Selection Criteria for Participants
To ensure a meaningful learning experience, applicants should meet the following criteria:Young women aged 18–45 years. Must have a strong interest in digital skills, entrepreneurship, and freelancing. Priority will be given to women with limited access to traditional employment opportunities.
Commitment & Availability: Must be available for all 5 online training days (3.5 hours each) during the 1 week. Participation in the graduation and networking ceremony at SheRise Hub in Accra is mandatory. Willingness to complete all assignments, practical tasks, and the final campaign project.
Digital Readiness: Basic ability to use a smartphone or computer, access the internet, and navigate online platforms. Must have access to a stable internet connection and a reliable device for online sessions.
What Participants Need to Know Before Signing Up
The program is fully funded by Nova Impact and partner SheRise Technology and totally online with a practical, hands-on approach. All sessions are interactive, so participants should be prepared to engage actively and collaborate with peers.
Certificates will be awarded upon successful completion of the training, including attendance, assignments, and the final project. Participants will gain not only technical skills but also access to a growing network of young women leaders and entrepreneurs. Limited slots are available, so early registration is encouraged.
